Alice Sampson, Hotel Manager of Ink Hotel Melbourne Southbank, will trek for six days in Nepal to raise funds for brain cancer research and to raise awareness of a disease that takes the lives of more children than any other disease. It also affects more people under 40 than any other cancer. On February 28, Alice will embark on the 45km Annapurna Hills Trail, traversing rice paddy fields and the foothills of the Himalayas. “I am taking on this challenge for the families that have lost a loved one to brain cancer or know someone who is currently fighting brain cancer. My target is to raise $4,500 before the trek,” Each year, about 1,700 people in Australia are diagnosed with brain cancer, which has a 20% survival rate. The funds raised from Alice’s trek will go towards research that can hopefully increase the survival rate to 50% by 2023. To support this worthy cause -
